Cadillac Eldorado FWD
When the front wheel drive craze started in the 1970’s, Cadillac was at the front of the line with its Eldorado model in 1967. The new driveline required a fresh outlook on wheel sizing, mainly concerning backspacing. To keep the track width at a reasonable measurement, Cadillac implemented a wheel that feature more backspacing than usual, giving the exterior appearance a more flattened look, rather than the deep dish look of years past. Many of these cars came with standard steel wheels and hubcaps, but a great way to update the styling is a set of chrome-plated wire wheels.
Roadster Wire Wheels manufactures chrome wires for front wheel drive Cadillac Eldorados. Available in a variety of sizes (15×6, 15×7, 16×6 and 16×7 inches) the wheels fit 1971-1985 Cadillac Eldorados, thanks to a 5×5-inch lug bolt pattern and the correct backspacing. Keep in mind that the ’71-74 models require a different wheel for the front and the rear, while the ’75-85 models use matching wheels on all four corners.
Each Cadillac FWD wire wheel is constructed with a chrome-plated steel rim, mounted to the hub with 72 stainless steel spokes. The wheels also feature stainless steel nipples, so rusting will not be an area of concern. The unique triple-cross spoke design offers custom flair for your Cadillac and you can mate these wheels to a set of whitewall radials for the ultimate combination of vintage style and modern ride quality. These wire wheels are designed to utilize tubes, so keep that in mind when shopping around for new tires.
The center cap is steel with a three-bar, spinner design, much like the Ford Thunderbird and features a high-quality, multi-layer chrome finish. The center insert is the classic Cadillac shield and wreath logo placed on a red background.
